Marketing Systems Specialist
The Marketing Systems Specialist optimizes the technology ecosystem that powers marketing operations, enablement, and learning. The role combines system administration, data governance, change management, and analytics to ensure tools and platforms operate efficiently and deliver data‑driven insights.
Responsibilities
System Support & Administration
– Primary administrator and point of contact for assigned platforms (CMS, LMS, CRM, Sales Enablement, Work Management, etc.). Manages user access, permissions, and configurations. Partners with IT and vendors to resolve technical issues and support system integrations. Leads quarterly governance reviews and supports testing and rollout of new features.
Content & Data Management
– Maintains content libraries and ensures assets are up to date and properly tagged. Supports content uploads, metadata structure, and version control. Conducts regular audits to keep content accurate and eliminate outdated materials.
User Support & Enablement
– First point of contact for user support, onboarding, and troubleshooting. Develops and maintains user documentation and delivers new user onboardings and quarterly training sessions. Gathers user feedback and translates it into system improvements.
Process Improvement & Optimization
– Identifies inefficiencies and recommends workflow enhancements across systems. Documents standard operating procedures (SOPs) and participates in testing and rollout of new features or integrations. Collaborates with the Marketing Operations Manager on workflow improvements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
– Develops and maintains usage dashboards across systems. Creates quarterly performance reports showing adoption, turnaround times, and key metrics. Supports leadership with ad‑hoc data analysis across marketing tools using Power BI or similar tools.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
– Partners with Marketing Managers, Sales Enablement, and Multimedia to ensure tools align with business needs. Shares user feedback and analytics to inform system roadmaps and represents the Marketing Operations team in vendor calls and internal project meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
Three to five years’ experience in marketing operations, systems administration, or analytics (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency with Marketing Enablement platforms (e.g., Highspot, HubSpot, Wrike, C2CRM, etc.) and LMS platforms.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and demonstrated ability to perform data analysis and visualization.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with complex worksheet creation.
Working knowledge of SQL or Excel‑based data modeling (preferred).
