Ensemble Schools – Violin Instructor (Part‑time)
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional violin instructor to teach part‑time at The Music Shop in Boonton, New Jersey. We are looking for instructors who will teach IN PERSON with Monday and Saturday availability as well as other weekday afternoons.
Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.
Responsibilities
Provide in‑person violin lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate instruction that promotes musical growth.
Maintain a punctual, reliable presence and encourage a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
Robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a routine background check.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $30‑34 per hour, commensurate with experience.
401(K) program with employer matching available to all employees after 90 days on the job.
