Title of Position Library Circulation Student Worker

Job Qualifications Student workers should be prompt and have a strong work ethic. Able to communicate effectively in person, by text, and by email. Have strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly. Arrive on time according to the agreed-upon schedule. Must be respectful to library patrons and workers. Willing to work early mornings, late nights, and/or weekends working around class schedule.
Position Description/ Job Duties This position will require working at the front desk answering phones and patron questions. You will check in and check out library items. There will be times of shelving books in alphabetical order. There will be times of moving books to carts, to shelving, and to other locations. Students will learn and enforce library policies when necessary. Other work may involve moving heavy books or boxes, helping visitors with general campus information, helping with printing, cleaning, and other tasks as needed. The student may also be asked to open or close the library.
Preferred Availability
Flexible scheduling between 2:00 pm on Sundays through 7:00 pm on Saturdays.
Shifts could begin as early as 7:15 am or end as late as 12:15 am.
Must be willing to work nights, mornings, and/or weekends.
Summer availability is a plus.
