The Donor Communications Officer is primarily responsible for developing donor communications materials to advance Principal Gifts fundraising in emerging markets. Working remotely, they will support colleagues based in the U.S. (including New York City) and globally in London, São Paulo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Additionally, they will support the donor communications and donor messaging needs of TNC’s global campaign as requested by the Director and Associate Director of Donor Communications.
They help lead the development and production of bespoke communications materials for TNC’s top donors, writing and editing materials that support the organization’s 2030 goals. This includes donor products designed to help fundraisers share consistent, compelling stories and connect with new audiences, including ultra‑high‑net‑worth global citizens and corporate donors. They assist the Associate Director in building relationships with a dynamic, entrepreneurial fundraising team that is globally dispersed, produce content for internal and external audiences, and contribute to overall strategy and specific project outcomes.
As a member of the Donor Relations team, the Donor Communications Officer works regularly with key partners across the organization, including fundraising, marketing and conservation staff. They make recommendations to leadership regarding strategy and processes used by the team. The role reports to the Associate Director of Donor Communications.
Location : Global with preference for New York, London, São Paulo, Hong Kong or Singapore.

What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience writing and editing communications products.
Experience with current technology in communications.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of donor communications.
Desired Qualifications
Multi‑lingual skills and multi‑cultural or cross‑cultural experience are appreciated.
Ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role.
Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively for a wide variety of audiences.
Experience developing, managing, and implementing goals, plans, and complex processes.
Expert in current and evolving technology related to donor communications.
Expert knowledge of current and evolving communications trends, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Proficient in interpreting guidelines and manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data.
Successful experience managing and implementing strategic program goals.
Superior planning and problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with visual storytelling and/or design best practices.
Understanding of accounting practices.
Salary Information This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non‑national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range is generally $76,500–$111,400 per year, based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency and based on the local labor market. Geographic location will be confirmed during recruitment and used to determine the actual pay range. Actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
