Position: Audio Engineer
Location: Performing Arts Center (PAC)

Primary Purpose: Ensure high-quality sound reinforcement for events, concerts, and theater productions at the Performing Arts Center and district-wide events. Responsibilities include editing, producing, and distributing audio recordings, maintaining equipment, and providing training to technical theater students on theater technology systems. Design, set up, and troubleshoot audio networking systems, configure network switches, routers, and audio interfaces, and work closely with artistic and production teams to meet technical needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Engineering or equivalent
Proficiency in operating professional audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and speakers. Knowledge of sound reinforcement principles, signal flow, and troubleshooting techniques is crucial
Dante network setup and troubleshooting experience
Effective communication skills to fulfill sound-related needs and provide creative input
Strong attention to detail for precise audio cues, levels, and timing
Ability to multitask and manage multiple audio elements
Quick troubleshooting skills, especially during live performances, with calmness under pressure
Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to plan and organize effectively
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work courteously with staff and the public
Minimum one year of experience
