Experiential Graphic Designer II – FKP | CannonDesign We are looking for a creative professional who thrives on solving design challenges and reimagining how brand identity comes to life across a range of environments—from commercial workplaces to healthcare and sports settings. About the Role The Environmental Graphic Designer II works closely with global brands, partnering with interior designers and architects to elevate spaces into memorable experiences. This is an opportunity to contribute to our Living‑Centered Design movement. Here’s What You’ll Do Participate in all phases of the design process from concept development through artwork production. Translate clients’ needs and ideas into compelling concepts that express their mission and purpose. Support project execution from storyboard to final design. Engage by using curiosity, empathy, and intuition to clarify complex ideas, visions, and strategies. Design creative, highly detailed solutions across all media types, including two‑ and three‑dimensional graphics, signage, and exhibits. Develop documentation for design projects—graphic programs, wayfinding, signage systems, donor recognition programs, and interpretive exhibits—under the direction of design leaders. Produce camera‑ready artwork for fabrication. Communicate during team calls and actively engage in design critique. Prepare visualizations and mockups of proposed signage and graphic content on digital models. Collaborate with design leaders on the EGD team and the larger project team. Here’s What You’ll Need Minimum bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related field. Minimum of 4 years of related experience. Strong design portfolio and background across multiple markets. Strong typography skills. Robust communication skills and proven strategies for collaborating in fast‑moving, complex project teams. Demonstrated skill and interest in three‑dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design, and environmental graphics. Working knowledge of all phases of the design process. Analytical and independent thinker. Attention to detail. Proficiency on Mac with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; skills in Revit and SketchUp are a plus. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $56,795 – $70,948 annually (Chicago, IL) We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account options, and voluntary insurances.
