Description
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans focused on achieving both immediate and progressive communication or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver one-on-one therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing language ability, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families to further support rehabilitation efforts outside the clinical environment.
- Contribute to inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation that meets all regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all ages, showcasing a solid understanding of various speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication proficiency with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adjust therapy techniques to cater to varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
