Job Summary
The incumbent will teach a 4/4 course load including classes focused on Multimedia/Digital Media to properly accommodate students enrolled in courses including those focused on multimedia and digital media creation, such as video production, animation, web design, and social media, while ensuring courses taught contain defined syllabi components, level and rigor of content, assessment and evaluation of student learning, outcomes and instructional effectiveness.

Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to teaching, managing, motivating, evaluating and advising students
- Interact with students in an appropriate, professional manner
- Comply with departmental curriculum, grading standards, student performance data, attendance policies, textbook choices and assessments
- Attend classes regularly as scheduled, maintaining requisite number of office hours
- Maintain effective written and verbal communication with students, faculty, and department chair or designee
- Serve on departmental and University committees, as assigned
- Comply with all legal and ethical obligations, including FERPA, ADA and other regulatory legislations
Qualifications
Doctor of Philosophy in Mass Communication, Journalism or related field
Five (5) years teaching experience at the college or university level
