As an Experience Designer, you'll play a key role in delivering visually compelling, user-centered solutions that drive real impact for our customers and business. You’ll lead the design of medium-to-large product features, working closely with cross‑functional partners to craft intuitive experiences that align with strategic objectives. Experience Designers bring a strong understanding of interaction design best practices and can clearly communicate your design rationale to stakeholders. You’ll be expected to think deeply, act boldly, and approach design with empathy and clarity, contributing to both product outcomes and team culture.

This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location.

What You’ll Do

  • Design end‑to‑end features and experiences that are inclusive, scalable, and aligned with business and user needs.
  • Explore a wide range of design solutions and articulate trade‑offs between different approaches.
  • Use data and user insights to validate designs, iterate on concepts, and advocate for user‑centered outcomes within business and technical constraints.
  • Play a part in the evolution of our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products.
  • Advocate for the user while recognizing business objectives and technical constraints, helping teams find common ground.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with researchers, product managers, engineers, and content designers to define problems and co‑create solutions.
  • Contribute to team processes, rituals, and practices that promote a culture of feedback, growth, and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience designing digital products, systems, or experiences across responsive web and/or mobile platforms.
  • 4+ years experience designing within and contributing to scalable, flexible design systems.
  • Portfolio demonstrating visual design skills, interaction design, and systems thinking.
  • Intermediate proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
  • Proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams and the ability to manage feedback and iterate independently.
  • Experience fostering a culture of constructive feedback and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in human‑centered design or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience designing for large, multi‑channel environments.
  • Experience working in Agile or Lean product teams.
  • Ability to align design strategy with business KPIs and prioritize accordingly.
