Responsibilities Provide recommendations for course design and development for academic courses and professional development offerings to include interface design, course architecture and navigation, content arrangement, sequencing of lessons, and alignment of assessments. Assist instructors with accessibility ratings of online course content in accordance with the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Provide assistance with essential course design traits to meet online course Quality Standards. Guide participating instructors through the Quality Matters (QM) certification process. Identify instructional design needs and provide solutions that integrate learning theory, best practices, and appropriate technology. Offer course design and technical assistance with the goal of meeting QM standards. Provide progress reports during the QM review process and assist with required course remediation.

Provide training for instructors and staff on Instructional Design and Instructional Technologies. Train online instructors on various aspects of the Quality Matters rubric, course templates and design, accessibility standards, engagement tools, assessment rubrics, and Canvas course site settings and navigation.

Other duties as assigned in support of ODL's mission.

Qualifications Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education or other appropriate degree and two years of experience.
