Manager- Social Media, Marketing, Events
GOVSERIES, a Deale Services, LLC subsidiary, delivers high-impact webinars, live events, and practical content for the government-contracting community—connecting professionals with the information, access, and opportunities they need to grow.
The Manager- Social Media, Marketing, Events will be responsible for day-to-day execution across social media, digital marketing, and event promotion/operations. This is a hands‑on contractor role: you’ll plan campaigns, create content, run ads, grow audience, drive registrations, and help produce smooth, well‑attended events. Responsibilities include:
Build & run an always‑on social calendar (LinkedIn primary; X, Instagram, YouTube as relevant) with weekly content, community engagement, and growth experiments.
Plan and execute multi‑channel campaigns for webinars and live events (email, social, partners, paid).
Create or coordinate creative assets (short‑form video, graphics, copy, landing pages).
Manage event ops: Eventbrite setup, registration flows, reminders, run‑of‑show, speaker/partner comms, onsite basics, and post‑event follow‑up/recaps.
Track and report KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR, registrations, attendance, CPL/CAC, ROI) and optimize accordingly.
Coordinate with leadership and partners/sponsors; maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Maintain and organize marketing assets, lists, and basic CRM/automation tasks.
Core skills (required):
Clear writing, short‑form content creation, basic design/layout, and comfort owning timelines and deliverables.
Tools familiarity (nice to have):
Eventbrite, Mailchimp/HubSpot (or similar), Canva/Adobe, LinkedIn Campaign Manager/Meta Ads, Google Analytics.
Event experience:
Webinar production (Zoom/Teams/ON24) and/or in‑person event coordination.
Industry exposure (bonus):
GovCon, B2B professional services, trade associations, or adult education/training.
Mindset:
Analytical, organized, proactive, and comfortable switching between strategy and scrappy execution.
Compensation:
Hourly; rate commensurate with experience and portfolio (please include your desired hourly rate range).
Hours:
Variable based on campaign/event cycles; some evenings/early mornings around events.
Travel:
Occasional U.S. travel for live events.
Flexible: We offer a flexible remote work option providing for remote work options.
