Area Director of Sales & Marketing
GF Hotels & Resorts and the Marriott Tacoma Downtown invite you to join our team as the Area Director of Sales & Marketing. Based at the Marriott Tacoma Downtown, you will develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies across multiple hotels to maximize revenue and profitability, act as the voice of our brand, and manage the marketing budget to enable the development of property‑specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral.
Responsibilities
Grow customer loyalty while generating new business by nurturing long‑term relationships
Consult with sales managers and stakeholders to evaluate company performance
Create and implement short‑ and long‑term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets
Prepare accurate and complete sales reports documenting marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outlining marketing plans
Analyze market trends to determine that balances costs, competition, and supply and demand
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
Must have a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or hospitality
Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Multi‑unit hotel sales experience preferred
Compensation Compensation:
$130,000 - $145,000 per year
