Senior Technical Content Marketing Manager (REMOTE)
Company:
Upstack Data
Location:
Remote (Must work US Eastern time zone)
Type:
Full-time
About Upstack Data:
Upstack Data provides customer identity resolution services that help marketing teams connect the dots between their ad spend and actual customer behavior. We solve one of marketing's hardest problems: knowing your customers. We're serving clients who manage millions in ad spend and need to understand every click, impression, and conversion.
The Role We're looking for a
Senior Technical Content Marketing Manager
who can translate complex data infrastructure and marketing technology into compelling content that drives business results. You'll own our entire content strategy and execution—from technical case studies to LinkedIn thought leadership to landing page copy.
This isn't a role for someone who just "writes well." You need to understand API integrations, data warehousing, marketing attribution models, and customer data platforms well enough to create content that resonates with both technical implementers (data engineers, marketing ops) and business decision-makers (CMOs, growth leaders).
You'll Own:
Content strategy across all channels (website, social, email, sales enablement)
Long‑form technical case studies showing real attribution ROI
Thought leadership content positioning us in the martech/CDP space
Social media content calendar (primarily LinkedIn, some Twitter/X)
Website and landing page copy that converts technical B2B buyers
Sales enablement materials that help close enterprise deals
What You'll Be Writing Technical Case Studies Deep‑dive customer stories: "How [Brand] connected 2.3 M Klaviyo email subscribers to Meta advertising using Upstack's identity resolution, revealing $4.2 M in previously unattributed revenue."
Thought Leadership Posts LinkedIn essays on marketing attribution, identity resolution challenges, privacy‑first customer data strategies, multi‑touch attribution modeling, API integration best practices.
Technical Explainers "How Upstack combines Facebook Ads API reach data with event‑level tracking in your data warehouse for accurate frequency analysis across campaigns."
Conversion Copy Landing pages for specific use cases: attribution for Klaviyo users, identity resolution for multi‑channel brands, API integration for data teams.
Product Marketing Feature announcements, beta program launches, integration releases written for both technical and business audiences.
Requirements Must Have
5+ years content marketing experience in B2B SaaS (martech, data infrastructure, or analytics space strongly preferred)
Portfolio demonstrating technical content AND conversion‑focused copy
Proven ability to understand and explain technical concepts: APIs, data pipelines, database schemas, tracking pixels, attribution models
Experience writing for multiple audiences: developers, marketing ops, CMOs, growth teams
Track record of content that drives measurable business results (leads, pipeline, SEO rankings)
Self‑directed—you'll own the strategy, not just execute someone else's plan
Strong Plus
Direct experience with marketing attribution platforms, CDPs, or customer data infrastructure
Working knowledge of Facebook Ads API, Google Ads API, or similar advertising platforms
Experience with Klaviyo, Segment, or similar marketing platforms
Background in data engineering, analytics, or marketing ops before moving to content
Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
SEO and content distribution strategy experience
Bonus Points
You've personally implemented marketing attribution or identity resolution
Published technical content that ranks on Google or gets shared in industry circles
Experience in early‑stage B2B SaaS (you've built content programs from near‑scratch)
Can read JavaScript/SQL enough to understand code examples
