Job Summary Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is seeking a candidate for a Federal Work Study position. It will be located in the SLC Enrollment Support Communication Center at the Macon Campus. This position supports the division of Enrollment Management. Daily efforts will focus on processes needed to enroll and retain students. Student workers in this office will utilize phone, email, text, social media and other tools/software to meet objectives.
Responsibilities
Performs clerical, and data entry tasks (i.e. answer telephone calls, input notes on student account).
Execute updates to web pages; upload appropriate videos, identifies learning links, and posts upcoming events to various social media pages in a timely manner.
Responds to virtual chats and other communications as assigned.
Provides enrollment related documents to prospective students; communicates outstanding needs and requirements for enrollment.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and imaging programs preferred.
Answers general financial aid and Bursar’s office questions.
Maintain acceptable work quality, phone etiquette and productivity standards.
Comply with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements as aligned with the University System of Georgia and MGA.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Able to multitask and remain cordial to students, staff, faculty and visitors during high traffic/peak seasons.
Maintains their academic workload while handling a work study job opportunity.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be currently enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
