Job Title Technical Designer

Job Description We are seeking a Technical Designer to assist in the production of construction documents, prepare project data sheets, and ensure accurate dimensioning and materials referencing. The role involves drawing building and wall sections, assembling project details, and applying code requirements. You will also assist with plan check corrections, consultant coordination, and transferring hand‑sketched plans into Revit. Additionally, you will support Designers with graphics, 3D modeling, presentations, and design studies using tools like SketchUp, Revit, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

Assist the Job Captain in producing construction documents.

Prepare all general project data sheets and dimension plans.

Note and reference all materials and products accurately.

Draw undeveloped building and wall sections and assemble project details.

Apply applicable code requirements and assist with back check.

Support plan check corrections and consultant coordination.

Transfer hand‑sketched unit floor plans and elevations into Revit.

Assist Project Managers with services during construction, including issuing ASI's, RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.

Provide graphics, 3D modeling, presentations, and design studies support to the design team.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2–5 years of Revit experience.

Minimum of 2–5 years of multifamily project experience.

Proficiency in tools such as SketchUp, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Strong hand drawing skills.

Understanding of building construction Types I, III, and V.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred.

On track to be licensed.

Experience in high‑rise residential and multi‑family construction.

Knowledge in contract administration, quality control, and budgeting.

Work Environment The role is based in our Irvine office, with a hybrid schedule offering up to 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office. Remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates with permission. Our culture focuses on a holistic, full‑service approach where employees can explore both production and design paths. The team is close‑knit and collaborative, with flexible working hours from 7–9 AM start time. Employees can choose between a typical 8‑hour day schedule or a flex schedule of 9 hours Monday to Friday and 4 hours on Thursday.

Job Type & Location Permanent position based in Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $27.00 – $36.00/hr.
