The State of Wisconsin is looking for a .NET Web Developer II
Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents.
ALL interviews will be conducted in-person at DWD's office in downtown Madison.
This is a position needed for the development and support of critical priority applications in the Division of Employment and Training and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Candidates will play an integral role on self directed work teams in support of high priority development projects. Project work will include: application design and development, integration with 3rd party software, data conversion, new development and modifications to existing code. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integration, web development, and Agile Scrum development methodology.
The successful candidate will be highly technically competent, a consistently high producer, a good communicator, and an overall team player. All candidates submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified and DOA purchasing will be notified.

- All candidates who accept interview requests are expected to come onsite to conduct the interview in person at DWD's offices in downtown Madison, WI.
- All service providers submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified and DOA Purchasing will be notified. An in-person or live video interview will be required as part of our review process.
- 4 years of experience as a Microsoft full stack developer is required including legacy ASP.NET forms design and newer design patterns such as MVC/MVVM.
- 4 years of experience on development teams using Agile Scrum methodology is required.
- Previous work experience in government, insurance, accounting, case management, or work programs is required.
- Previous work experience in online transaction processing (OLTP) web application development required.
- The successful candidate will be highly technically competent, a consistently high producer, a good communicator, and an overall team player.
- 2 years of developing applications using cloud services, especially with GCP and/or AWS
- 2 years of experience working with relational databases, such as SQL
- 1 year of experience working with MVC
- 1 year of experience working with microservices
- Working experience with Blazor framework and MudBlazor component library
- Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure Cloud experience preferred.
- Previous experience providing this service for government a plus, and experience with DWD's environments will be especially valuable.

Duration of the Contract:
- 06/30/2025 with potential for extension.
- This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI).
- Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. No relocation is allowed.
