We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. This is a meaningful opportunity to help secure essential funding that furthers our programs and directly improves community health and wellness. The Grant Writer is responsible for RFP, CMS Demonstration and Grant Application development, writing and submission. This entails working with CareStar's Leadership to understand CareStar's funding needs, researching public and private procurement sites and funding sources that match the needs, preparing and submitting proposals and applications, maintaining submission schedules and tracking, and keeping Leadership informed of application status and progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Public Health, Business, Marketing or related fields and 2-4 years' experience in grant and proposal writing or non-profit fundraising.
• Demonstrated success in securing grants from government, foundation, or private sources.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with people from various business backgrounds.
• Demonstrated strong critical thinking, problem-solving, project management and follow-up skills and flexibility in relationship to job requirements.
• Possesses highly effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with respect for others, including individuals, coworkers and other professionals within a diverse work environment.
• Compelling, persuasive and influential writer,
• Presents professionally and is relatable.
• Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Available to meet the needs/requirements of staff, coworkers and individuals.
• Possesses computer skills sufficient to enter information electronically, to use CareStar's website and email and to demonstrate familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office Programs, publishing, other sales proposal and Artificial Intelligence software.

Key Responsibilities
- • Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
• Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality as related to patient and proprietary information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
• Follows the Acceptable Use Policy, while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
• Develops, writes, and edits compelling RFP and Grant Proposals, Applications, and supporting documents for a variety of funders.
• Ensures timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented RFP and Grant proposals.
• Works with all CareStar designees to develop technical writing, while strictly adhering to timelines.
• Development and maintenance of RFP, projects, sales and Grant Tracking System for the timely submission of proposals and reports.
• Develops and maintains working relationships with funding and procurement source contacts.
• Conducts, facilitates and leverages strategic research to strengthen RFP and Grant submissions.
