Job Title: Technical Documentation Writer (Video Script Writer)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA Fully Onsite
Duration: 3+ Months with Possibility Extension
Pay Range: $65 - $70/hr on W2

Job Description

The Service Content Development team is looking for a talented technical writer to create clear, concise, and accurate hardware repair procedures and related documentation. This work will help technicians understand workflows, train them for their job‑related tasks and support them in their role.

Responsibilities

• Technical Writing for procedural video scripts, content strategy, content editorial, and data analytics.
• Develop step‑by‑step hardware procedures and related documentation.
• Write content proposals based on data‑driven decisions.
• Balance multiple projects on short timelines.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to research technical topics and convey technical information to readers of varying skill and experience.
• Experience writing step‑by‑step hardware procedures and video scripts.
• Experience with style guides (global and accessible writing is a plus).
• Experience with content management systems, digital asset management, word processing, and spreadsheet apps.
• Trustworthy; capable of handling confidential information.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience required.

Portfolio

Candidates should provide a portfolio that includes examples of scripts written and resulting video content, even if they did not produce the video.
