Technical Writer (Video Script Writer)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA – Fully Onsite

Duration: 3+ Months with Possibility Extension

Pay Range: $65 – $70/hr on W2

Job Description

The Service Content Development team is looking for a talented technical writer to create clear, concise, and accurate hardware repair procedures and related documentation. This work will help technicians understand workflows, train them for their job-related tasks, and support them in their role.

We also need a script writer to craft simple, technician-focused content that will be used in procedural video scripts. Responsibilities will include technical writing for procedural video scripts, content strategy, content editorial, and data analytics.

Key Qualifications

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to research technical topics and convey information to readers of varying skill levels
• Experience writing step-by-step hardware procedures and workflow-based scripts for video training content
• Experience writing content proposals based on data-driven decisions
• Ability to balance multiple tasks for several projects simultaneously, often on short timelines
• Experience with style guides (including global and accessible writing)
• Experience with content management systems, digital asset management, word processing, and spreadsheet apps
• Trustworthy – often dealing with confidential information
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience (required)
