Design Coordinator - Architecture CUBE 3 is a design and innovation leader in the Boston market and nationally, with work in over 25 states. We are looking for a Design Coordinator to assist in the planning and development of architectural projects, working closely with the Project Manager and other team members.

Job Overview Perform a variety of design and technical tasks, including manuscript of Schematic Design, Design Development and Contract Documents, Revit and Sketch‑Up model building, renderings and Construction Administration. Work in a self‑directed manner and coordinate with established budget, schedule and programmatic requirements.

Experience and Education

2–4 years of related experience in architectural projects.

Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited school.

Skills

Ability to work primarily in Revit, with AutoCAD, Sketch‑Up and Photoshop strongly preferred.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Strong understanding of architectural principles, project design, and construction materials and methods.

Essential Job Functions: Design

Assist in the preparation of documents for Schematic Design and Design Development.

Assist in developing design sketches, renderings, models and graphics for presentations.

Provide design support to project team members, including product research, documentation revisions, computer modeling and renderings.

Support specific project goals outlined by the project team and the PM.

Compile data and perform design calculations as required.

Commit to core firm principles: strong communication, teamwork, quality control and sustainability.

Technical

Assist in preparation of comprehensive Contract Documents under guidance.

Perform tasks in accordance with the C3S Project Delivery Manual.

Prepare Contract Documents including plans, details, sections, elevations and schedules (minimum of three sets).

Assist in production of amendments, addenda and bulletins as required.

Assist in preparing revisions and technical alternatives for review.

Perform routine area calculations and other technical support functions.

Assist in field observations to monitor construction progress.

Additional Qualifications A valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record, as required by the firm’s liability insurance carrier.
