About The Role Scribe is seeking a Staff Product Designer to improve and broaden Scribe’s core product experience. Key responsibilities include:
Creating detailed, pixel‑perfect, differentiated designs for new product features.
Mentoring and collaborating with design peers to raise the bar on everything we build.
Leading design and user experience for significant parts of our product; contributing from prioritization through launch and spearheading 0‑1 initiatives.
Acting as the voice of the customer by speaking with users to understand their needs and goals and channeling that into designs.
Working closely with PM counterparts to understand company strategy and OKRs and positively influencing the roadmap for maximum impact.
Partnering with engineers to bring designs to life and iterating collaboratively to address technical constraints.
Leveraging and contributing to our design system, Stylus, to ensure consistency and efficiency across the product.

About You You’d be a great fit if you:
Are curious about our users and love chasing the “why” to deeply understand their issues and obsess over creative designs to solve them.
Thrive in autonomy, shaping products rather than just shipping them, and do not require a PRD to start design explorations.
Mentor and support others, offering feedback, coaching, and support that helps them grow in craft, confidence, and impact.
Establish and scale design best practices, proactively defining processes, patterns, and principles that elevate team output and ensure quality, consistency, and velocity.
Have 8+ years of experience designing SaaS products for enterprise customers (startup experience preferred).
Appreciate the holistic craft of product development, building credibility with product and engineering counterparts.
Care about details and pride delivering the best end‑to‑end experience, refusing to label improvements as out of scope.
Focus on outcomes over output, using a multi‑step framework or a quick sketch as needed to unblock the team.
Think big and deliver incrementally, balancing visionary ideas with high‑velocity incremental experiences for users.
Have a strong POV, discerning good products from great ones, and stakeholders rely on you for “taste testing.”
Bonus Points
Experience with Tailwind and comfort writing or editing HTML & CSS.
Experience shepherding work through GitHub pull requests and giving feedback on code for designs.
Interview Process
[30 min] Chat with our recruiter to learn about the company, team, and opportunity.
[45 min] Meet the hiring manager to discuss background, expectations, and fit.
[60 min] Working session with two product designers to assess problem‑solving and solution recommendation.
[4 hours] Onsite at our SF office: panel presentation, behavioral interviews, lunch.
