HEAD OF PEOPLE AND CULTURE AT HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS® ROLE SUMMARY:
The Development Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives. The primary responsibility of this role is the creation of event collateral, which contributes to an exceptional guest experience and aligns with organizational branding. Additionally, the Coordinator will support donor communications, such as managing donor fundraising sites, crafting donor‑centric messaging, and assisting with the quarterly donor newsletter. This position requires strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and design marketing materials such as event flyers, surveys, itineraries, merchandise, thank you gifts, and digital fundraising assets.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all event‑related collateral is cohesive and supports the intended guest experience.
Create visually engaging materials that align with organizational branding and enhance the donor experience.
Donor-Centric Communications
Craft donor-focused messaging across all event materials, emphasizing the impact of donor contributions and the organization’s mission.
Manage and update donor fundraising sites through Classy to optimize participant engagement and fundraising success.
Assist with the creation of the quarterly donor newsletter, integrating event highlights and donor recognition.
Understand and apply fundraising marketing techniques while staying current with evolving trends to engage donors and event participants effectively, aligning with the organization's mission and vision.
Systems & Tools
Use Salesforce and Office 365 to organize and document requests, maintain accurate records, and track deliverables for events.
Leverage tools like Classy to manage and update event-related fundraising campaigns.
Work closely with the Director of Donor Events and other internal teams to ensure alignment on project priorities and timelines.
Provide design and marketing support for events of various types, including signature events, endurance events, and third‑party fundraisers.
Other Responsibilities
Maintain an understanding of best practices in event marketing and design.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Director of Donor Events and the broader DevComms team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including a strong customer service orientation, and excellent organizational/time management skills.
This is a fast‑paced environment where you will be working as part of a team as well as independently.
Strong attention to detail and well as deadlines is most critical.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in event planning or marketing, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Proficiency or familiarity in Adobe Creative Suite, Forms Assembly, Salesforce, Figma, and Classy.
Passion for the mission of Hope For The Warriors and a commitment to supporting veterans, service members, and military families.
Understanding of military practices and culture.
