Events, Sales & Marketing Coordinator | Full-Time $21/hr
Situated in the heart of Austin’s 6th Street entertainment district and just a short walk from the State Capital, the Driskill Hotel has always been the premier location to gather for business and social events.
The Sales, Events & Marketing Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Sales, Events, Planning and Marketing Managers. This includes inquiry management, proposals, generating contracts, creating banquet event orders and billing. The coordinator may also give daily Driskill Hotel Tours to guests, serve as day‑of liaison through event set‑up, ceremony and reception. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, feels comfortable interacting directly with guests over the phone or in person, can learn new computer programs, multitask, and demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills.
Responsibilities
Administrative support to the Sales, Events, Planning and Marketing Team
Organizing internal bookings
Answering phones while in the office and providing guidance to clients on behalf of Sales, Event and Planning Team
Assisting Event Managers with incoming leads
Effective management of small meetings, under 10 guests
Prepare group resumes and event orders
Positive collaboration with hotel departments and vendors
Qualifications
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Proficient knowledge of computer applications
Prior customer service experience required
Previous administrative or applicable experience preferred
Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi‑task
Marketing experience required
