The Media Specialist is responsible for capturing, editing, creating, and archiving videos, photos, and graphic content for the Content Marketing team. This role works with and reports to the Videographer/Photographer role.
Knowledge and understanding of current video production standards, practices, and terminology. Ability to effectively use and maintain a wide variety of media production equipment (photo, video and audio) including but not limited to computers, cameras, microphones, digital recording devices, and lights. Ability to effectively use a wide variety of media production software.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce video in collaboration with creative and content production team members
Assist on creating graphics, photography and video content for web page, email content, blog content, TV, advertising, or social media
Capture video and photo content of various types, including conducting interviews, covering events, marketing shoots & social media content
Edit video and photo content in collaboration with leaders and team members
Assist with media assets management
Assist in the execution of promotional events, photo and video shoots.
As assigned, assist with Content & Marketing Team needs
REQUIREMENTS
Video editing skills
Proficient with DSLR camera equipment
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Apps
Proficient in Final Cut Pro
Eagerness to accept feedback and grow in the position
Understanding of framing, composition, depth of field, and lighting.
Experience with studio lighting, continuous lights, strobes, and natural light setups.
Knowledge of audio recording basics (lavaliers, shotgun mics, handhelds).
Ability to follow project timelines and deliver content on schedule
Strong attention to detail in editing, file naming, and media organization
Familiarity with digital asset management and backups
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments (events, resort shoots, live shoots, etc.)
Punctual and professional
Ability to carry and set up equipment (sometimes heavy gear)
Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in various weather conditions
Willingness to travel for shoots if needed
Ability to stand for extended periods during shoots
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in digital media, marketing, or a related field
A minimum of 2 years of experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Content conceptualization
Knowledge of the latest media trends
Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
SCHEDULE -
M-F 9-6 some weekends and nights as needed.
