Administrative Assistant, Library Services (25 hrs)
A student‑friendly, adaptable Administrative Assistant will support day‑to‑day library operations, assist students and staff, and help maintain a positive learning environment. The role starts January 2026 and is part‑time (25 hours per week).
Hours: Monday‑Thursday 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm; Sunday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic secretarial support functions using modern office procedures and equipment (answering phones, preparing correspondence, data entry, maintaining filing systems, processing mail).
- Gather and provide general program information to students, faculty, staff, and the public; refer issues to appropriate parties.
- Maintain supervisors’ or department calendars, schedule appointments and meetings (including travel as required); assist in preparing program materials and coordinating special events.
- Track department budget accounts and office supplies, record expenditures, facilitate supply orders, and process invoices for payment.
- Prepare college forms required for daily operations.
- Direct student workers or other staff as needed.
- Serve as web content administrator for the assigned area.
- Work independently with increasing responsibility as experience grows; exercise independent judgment and initiative.
- Assist in preparing program reports required by federal and/or state law.
- Administer exams and/or handle cash as required.
- If assigned to the bookstore: oversee daily operations, plan sales promotions, arrange displays, and track inventory.
- If assigned to career services: assist employers and college members with career‑oriented activities, collaborate with career counselors, and provide career training activities to all personnel.
- Adhere to college, federal, and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives, and directives to ensure compliance.
- Perform other tasks of a similar nature or level as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years related experience or 30 semester hours of college credit, or equivalent combination sufficient to perform essential functions.
