What Role You Will Play In Our Team

The Shopper Marketing Advisor for Retail/Consumer Lubricants serves an assigned key retail customer account and collaborates with the overall customer account team. The role develops 1‑year sales and marketing plans that deliver on business commitments, supports account sales and share growth, and manages marketing plan execution. The position focuses on marketing plan development, budget oversight, agency oversight, and driving marcomm objectives for media plans in both effectiveness and efficiency. This position is part of the customer team focused on growing Mobil 1 sales and share at assigned retailer(s) and is based in Bentonville, AR, working with retailers throughout North America under the direction of the North America Channel Marketing Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development of all marketing activities for assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with and provide regular reporting for retailers to optimize promotional calendars and secure incremental placements and activations
  • Analyze, create, and recommend actions to improve Marcomm/Media investments
  • Participate in customer meetings and lead the marketing portion of line reviews
  • Support cross‑functional partners with ad‑hoc needs while upholding the strictest integrity of confidential customer information
  • Protect and grow premium product placements and promotions
  • Lead marketing activities, trade show activations, and events, contributing to customer presentations
  • Assess competitor and market threats and opportunities to strengthen Mobil 1’s position in retail

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent experience leading sales and marketing planning and execution with third‑party customers
  • Working knowledge of media planning and measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others, project manage, and prioritize under tight timelines
  • Analytical skills (trend, data, financial)
  • Effective communication skills (in‑person, written, presentation)
  • Project management and collaboration skills with direct customer interaction experience
  • Experience influencing without authority
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and creating impactful tools
  • Proficient with supplemental data resources, including syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD) and customer point‑of‑sale data
  • Experience with a variety of categories and/or retailers
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage a complex workload
  • Proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau
