Tina for Oregon is seeking a dedicated and hard‑working
Communications Director . The Communications Director will oversee all campaign‑related communications matters, including developing and executing a robust communications plan. They will work closely with campaign leadership and the candidate to drive the campaign’s earned media strategy and act as an on‑record spokesperson for the campaign. The ideal candidate will have multiple cycles of on‑record experience, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and previous management experience. Oregon ties are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a robust communications plan for the cycle
Build strong relationships with reporters at the national, statewide, and local level
Oversee all communications materials, including press releases, talking points, reporter backgrounders, candidate memos, op‑eds, and other content
Work closely with the candidate, campaign manager, and consulting team to shape the campaign’s overall communications strategy
Develop earned media tactics, ideas, and pitches to drive the campaign message
Prepare and staff the candidate for media interviews and events
Serve as an on‑record spokesperson for the campaign
Manage other members of the communications team
Qualifications:
At least two to three cycles of campaign communications experience
On‑record experience and a track record of building strong relationships with reporters
Experience developing and implementing communications strategies and plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects while working on a deadline; desire and ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and irregular hours

Salary:
$8,000/month, commensurate with experience
