Creative Services Director (Remote) – Providence Health & Services

The Creative Services Director is accountable for defining and leading the creative strategy and development process in support of MDeX. Responsibilities include overseeing and managing a team of internal and external contributors across design, copy, content, production disciplines, as well as collaborating with external creative service agencies, media, and production partners to achieve a consistent system‑wide image and expression for Providence and our family of brands. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the health care industry and a proven track record of creating and managing creative campaigns that are both effective and memorable.
Essential Functions
Strategic Campaign Leadership: Drive and or support the ideation, design, and production of marketing and advertising, including both awareness driving and service line regional/divisional efforts.
Creative Stewardship: Act as a COE, ensuring marketing and advertising creative ladders align with Providence’s mission, positioning and values, and are in alignment to a unified platform.
Integrated Creative Planning Direction: Steer creative campaigns across all platforms – digital, social media, blogs, web, OOH, print, radio, and beyond – ensuring a cohesive and powerful brand presence everywhere.
Brand Compliance: Utilize approved Brand Guidelines to support adherence and compliance across creative efforts. Diligently oversee brand expression at every touchpoint, serving as the "first and last eyes" on all campaigns and designs to guarantee a consistent, resonant brand message and the highest standard of excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the central creative hub, fostering strong relationships with leadership, external collaborators, and key partners to ensure unified brand communication.
External Agency/Freelance Collaboration: Establish strong partnerships with external agencies, ensuring projects align with Providence’s brand ethos. Oversee the strategic direction of their work, ensuring consistency, efficiency and efficacy.
Multidisciplinary Team Leadership: Direct and nurture a diverse group of internal and external talents spanning design, copywriting, content creation, and production, ensuring harmonious collaboration and top-quality outcomes.
Strategic Collaboration with Marketing and other internal Business Partners: Collaborate successfully with marketing and peer business teams, translating creative briefs into groundbreaking campaigns, and overseeing the entire creative lifecycle from inception to fruition.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of current marketing trends and competitor activities within the health care industry, allowing for innovative approaches that stand out in the market.
Project Portfolio Coordination and Organization: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. Ensure asset organization and storage.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
10 or more years progressive business experience in marketing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience marketing clinical services lines and/or health insurance products
Direct experience in consumer packaged goods
Prior experience in the Health Care industry
