Email Marketing Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, strategic thinking digital marketing professional specializing in Hubspot marketing automation and CRM management. The Email Marketing Manager will join our growing marketing team to manage the Hubspot marketing automation platform and ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc. This person will report to leadership and work with cross functional teams to execute a comprehensive email and SMS marketing strategy. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to rapidly pivot when the business requires doing so.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise to:
Manage end-to-end sales and marketing automation processes within the CRM (Hubspot), effectively aligning marketing campaigns with sales initiatives driving revenue growth.
Develop and execute targeted email & SMS marketing campaigns using HubSpot's automation tools to increase engagement and uplift in lead conversion rates.
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for newsletter content across multiple brands.
Leverage marketing automation to streamline operations, create complex and predictive workflows, and deliver data-driven results that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to develop campaigns that increase donor engagement and help drive overall donations across all His Glory initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Email Marketing & Content Strategy / Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive email marketing strategy aligned with business goals for multiple brands.
Design, build, and optimize multi-touch lead nurture and drip campaigns for different audience segments (industry, persona, funnel stage) to guide leads from awareness to conversion and ongoing engagement.
Analyze churn and work with marketing, sales and agency teammates to develop strategies to improve engagement and reduce unsubscribe rates.
Demand Generation: Manage and deploy campaigns to support top-of funnel activities.
Support ministry growth by creating email and SMS campaigns that inspire giving and help drive overall donations.
Manage A/B tests to continuously improve subject lines, content, send times, design layouts and calls-to-action to increase click-through and conversion rates.
Work with marketing agencies to apply accurate branding and messaging standards across all communications for internal and partner brands.
Ensure campaigns meet CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and other compliance requirements.
Stay current on trends and best practices in email, SMS, and mobile marketing.
Optimize newsletter placements for ads, affiliate links, and other monetization streams.
Own end-to-end email marketing execution: segmentation, scheduling, deliverability, and compliance.
Monitor campaign metrics (CTR, open rates, conversions) and provide regular reporting and insights.
Ensure all newsletters are aligned with brand voice, goals, and compliance standards.
Manage day-to-day CRM communications calendar and execution across all brands.
Customer Journey Mapping
Oversee and project manage all marketing campaigns, working inside CRM (Hubspot) to develop workflows, sequences, email campaigns, landing pages, etc + track performance and provide data backed reporting for overall marketing metrics.
Map customer journeys and identify key touchpoints for automated and targeted communication.
Work with agencies and marketing team to create high-performing email content, including copy, design, and CTAs, that aligns with brand voice and marketing objectives.
Analyze customer data and behavior to inform email marketing campaigns and segmentation strategies.
Database Management
Maintain clean email and SMS lists through regular hygiene practices.
Develop and execute strategies to grow newsletter subscriber lists (organic and paid).
Manage referral, lead magnet, and partnership campaigns to drive subscriber acquisition and generate sales.
Analyze customer data and behavior to inform email marketing campaigns and segmentation strategies.
Segmentation & Personalization
Create and manage segments based on subscriber behavior, demographics, and preferences.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date segment lists, ensuring that subscribers are correctly categorized and targeted.
Maintain database health, develop segmentation strategies, and leverage personalization for engagement.
Partner with marketing, program owners and sales teams to understand campaign objectives, ensure messaging and brand standards are upheld.
Performance Optimization, Reporting & Analytics
Drive campaign performance optimization through data-driven testing, audience segmentation, and data science modeling.
Monitor and report on KPIs (open rates, CTR, conversions, pipeline influence) and use insights to iterate strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred but not required.
2-5 year’s experience in digital/email & SMS marketing, preferably in a media or content-driven company preferred.
Certified in Hubspot Marketing and Sales Hubs or expertise in other major platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, ActiveCampaign); specify your expertise preferred.
2-5 years of experience in customer segmentation, marketing automation, and deliverability best practices preferred.
Strong understanding of full marketing and sales funnels.
Skilled in data analysis and trend identification; Google Analytics experience preferred.
Excellent copywriting and editing focused on conversions.
HTML/CSS knowledge for email customization is highly valued.
Organized project manager, able to handle multiple tasks independently.
CRM workflows and segmentation experience.
Familiarity with ESP analytics, A/B testing, deliverability, and list segmentation.
Experience with affiliate marketing, sponsorship, or digital ad sales is a plus.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Planning & organization to manage multiple campaigns and workstreams at one time.
Attuned to a teamwork environment, fast-paced rhythm, and a results-oriented culture.
It would be nice if you had:
Familiarity with Substack, Beehiiv, or similar newsletter platforms.
Familiarity with Shopify and integrating ESPs with e-commerce platforms.
Working knowledge of SMS marketing platforms such as Klaviyo or similar.
Familiarity with data analysis tools, such as Google Analytics.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, daily role (specific schedule to be determined). In-person in Mount Pleasant, TX or Remote.
Compensation based on experience and responsibilities.
