Job Overview We are looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team.
You will help design and deliver state‑of‑the‑art structures, coordinate design across disciplines, and lead a small team of designers to meet project standards and objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate with clients and construction trade partners.
Convey structural requirements to the construction team through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
Provide leadership for a small project, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and morale for the design team.
Collaborate with the Advanced Manufacturing team to provide award‑winning planning, engineering, architectural design, and construction management solutions.
Assist in the continuing development of your skills and explore opportunities across the global company.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field.
At least 1 year of Revit experience.
At least 3 years of AutoCAD design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of Revit experience.
Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
Experience leading a team of designers.
Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.
Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Working Arrangement Hybrid – you will split your work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations to ensure collaboration and client delivery.
