Our client, a Dallas-based architecture firm, is seeking a talented
Interior Designer
to join their dynamic and relationship-driven team. Known for their client-first approach, the firm is deeply committed to building and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients, employees, and the communities they serve. They deliver thoughtful, well-crafted design solutions across a diverse portfolio, including commercial, multifamily, industrial, institutional, and healthcare environments.
This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a collaborative setting and is passionate about creating functional, beautiful, and enduring interior environments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to develop cohesive interior design concepts that align with project goals and overall architectural vision.
Lead the interior design process from programming and concept development through design documentation and construction administration.
Prepare finish plans, furniture layouts, color palettes, material selections, and detailed specifications.
Develop and maintain interior design deliverables, including presentation boards, renderings, and sample boards for client meetings.
Conduct product research and coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to source furnishings, fixtures, materials, and finishes.
Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements, present design concepts, and gather feedback.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, ADA standards, and industry regulations relevant to interior environments.
Coordinate with the larger project team to ensure interior design details are integrated seamlessly into construction documents.
Support construction administration efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits as needed.
Contribute to the firm’s culture of collaboration, relationship-building, and community engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field from an accredited program.
3+ years of professional interior design experience; experience with commercial, multifamily, industrial, institutional, or healthcare projects strongly preferred.
Proficiency in
Revit ,
AutoCAD , and
Microsoft Office
required; experience with
SketchUp ,
Enscape ,
Photoshop , or other visualization tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, FF&E, building codes, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
NCIDQ certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
