The Commercial Analyst and Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting our commercial team by optimizing CRM systems, generating actionable insights, and enhancing our digital marketing efforts. This role bridges analytics and marketing strategy, driving sales growth and operational efficiency through technology, data, and targeted campaigns.
Reports to: Vice President of Commercial & Culture
Direct reports: Account Managers located in the designated territory (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio)
Responsibilities
Commercial Analytics & CRM Optimization
Manage and maintain the opportunity pipeline in collaboration with Sales, Procurement, and Commercial Leadership.
Track and report key sales KPIs including opportunity conversion rates and pipeline-to-sales ratios.
Serve as the CRM subject matter expert, driving enhancements and best practices.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on sales, margin, and volume performance.
Prospect Generation & Sales Enablement
Use tools like ZoomInfo to identify and distribute warm leads based on website visitor data.
Coordinate targeted sales campaigns focused on specific markets and products.
Work with IT to implement a Pricebook within the CRM (potentially via Power BI).
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Improve web presence to enhance search visibility, potentially in partnership with external providers.
Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms.
Collect and utilize customer testimonials to attract new business.
Develop and maintain a centralized library of sales materials (presentations, line cards, case studies, branded handouts).
Automation & Onboarding
Streamline onboarding workflows for new customers and products.
Collaborate cross-functionally to reduce manual processes and improve time-to-market.
Pricing & Digital Innovation
Modernize pricing tools to clearly communicate pricing expectations.
Identify and implement low-code/no-code solutions to improve commercial workflows.
Leverage Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.
Explore AI-driven tools for forecasting, segmentation, and lead scoring.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field.
Proven experience in sales operations, digital marketing, or commercial enablement.
Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics).
Proficiency in Power BI and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with AI applications in sales and marketing is a strong plus.
Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Self-starter with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
