Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
to work at our UI Health Care Sioux City Family Medicine. This position supports our Family Medicine Clinic where you’ll spend more time with patients and expand your physician‑support and administrative duties, increasing the efficiency and productivity of the physician and anticipating future needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic.
For over 100 years, Iowa Healthcare’s primary focus has been the health and wellness of our patients. We provide care for pregnancy, baby wellness, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute visits, annual check-ups, mental health, on‑site laboratory services, and more. Our team builds relationships with patients, monitors their care history, and delivers personalized, compassionate care to every patient. When a patient needs specialty care, our family medicine provider connects them with the appropriate UI Health Care specialist, ensuring a seamless experience by sharing your medical records.

Duties to include
Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
Current valid driver's license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards

Schedule Variable hours 7am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday; no weekends, no on call, no holidays

Salary $44,557.92 - $66,377.52 (at 100% time) (based on years of experience)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
Special Qualification/License
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
The ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and patient populations is highly desired.
Desirable Qualifications
Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.
Previous EPIC Experience
Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.
Staff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this position.
