Licensed Practical Nurse - UI Health Care Sioux City Family Medicine
The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient‑centered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Family Medicine Clinic. The role is 50–100% (20–40 hours per week) and focuses on nursing care, physician support, and administrative duties to increase clinic efficiency.
In this position you will provide nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, develop and implement nursing care plans, and assist in directing assigned nursing personnel. You will also maintain current licensure, meet the University Driving Policy Standards, and provide compassionate, personalized care to patients.
Provide nursing care under RN supervision.
Develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist in supervising assigned nursing personnel.
Maintain a valid LPN license and complete required continuing education.
Hold a current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Qualifications
Licensed as an LPN with the Iowa Board of Nursing or eligible for a temporary work permit.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical environments.
Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience preferred; EPIC experience a plus.
Demonstrated experience fostering a respectful work environment.

Schedule: Variable hours 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday; no weekends or on‑call shifts. Salary ranges from $44,557.92 – $66,377.52 (at 100% time) based on experience.
