Position Overview:
This is a non-sworn law enforcement position operating dispatch phones, radio, and computer systems in a public safety communications center involving computerized radio dispatching. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year of relevant experience, which can include college coursework or vocational/technical training. Proficiency in typing and effective communication skills, especially in high-stress situations. Training will be provided for certification in the NCIC/FCIC computer system and 911 telecommunications within the first year of employment. The role may require shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A shift differential of $2.00 per hour may be available for shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
