Job Overview The Production Control and Expeditor (Production Expeditor) position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Irvine, CA. Located in the PCC Fasteners Business Unit, the role ensures timely release, movement, and tracking of work orders through the production process. The position requires strong communication, urgent sense of priority, and close coordination with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks and meet customer delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Locate orders, prioritize production sequence, and move parts throughout manufacturing operations.

Review component availability and customer requirements to release shop orders based upon optimized lot sizes.

Apply knowledge of scheduling procedures, techniques, and documentation for assigned production activities.

Analyze work center workload and workflow to ensure timely completion of orders and coordinate schedules and staffing with leads, supervisors, and area managers.

Maintain project trackers, action lists, and master or detailed schedules to support manufacture of standard parts or assemblies.

Adapt schedules in response to engineering or methods changes, new releases, priority upgrades, rework dispositions, part or assembly shortages, or supply problems.

Maintain product status data to compare or monitor schedule estimates against production capability or material support.

Provide frequent contact with marketing, methods engineering, document or production control, and purchasing to obtain or present information applicable to scheduling.

Perform other duties as necessary or assigned from time to time.

Manage work order launch and system integrity.

Identify interdependencies between product types and operations by developing and maintaining integrated master schedules.

Establish project schedule development, monitoring, and analysis to identify critical path and resource allocation.

Qualifications Required

Familiarity with supply chain metrics and MRP systems.

Ability to analyze production data and develop solutions.

Ability to work well in a cross‑functional team setting.

High visible energy, sense of urgency, and ownership.

Effective communication skills to teams and upper management.

Ability to manage several tasks and priorities at a time.

3‑5 years of related experience and/or training.

Experience developing and managing project schedules using MS Project or equivalent.

Desired

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Aerospace machining and secondary processing experience.

Experience in high volume manufacturing environment.

Lean manufacturing experience or background.

Microsoft Excel programming or other computer programming skills.

ERP system reporting and analytical capabilities.

Familiar with SIOP process; deployment, process improvement, and driving stakeholder engagement.

Compensation & Benefits For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21 to $34.75 US Dollar (USD) hourly. The role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple. Employees receive 80 hours paid time off every year, 10 paid holidays, and eligibility to participate in the Company’s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, and the 401(k) plan. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations.
