Pike Corporation Position summary and responsibilities are focused on expediting distribution construction projects, verifying job packets, obtaining permits and locates, reviewing bill of materials, coordinating pre-construction notices and traffic control, and ensuring compliance with safety and project requirements. Responsibilities
Work with vendors and suppliers to effectively plan and schedule to support the project. Verify required permits and ensure they have been received in accordance with local codes and state laws. Analyze bill of materials to ensure adequacy for the work; request missing materials and notify of discrepancies prior to field execution. Lead problem resolution for issues and identify escalations to management as needed. Provide input to management regarding action plans for long-term issues. Support the field construction crews as required. Comply with purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures. Locate vendors of materials, equipment, supplies, or services and submit for use as approved suppliers/subcontractors. Plan, organize, schedule and monitor work activities; complete and maintain accurate project records and files. Assemble and maintain all final job packets and readies them for handover to clients. Minimum Qualifications
Understanding of basic electrical concepts in materials and services. High energy level with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Demonstrated computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds. High School diploma. Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred. Experience in the utility industry and direct experience in distribution line construction and/or services. Competencies
Self-Motivated Team-Oriented Customer Oriented Work independently Read and understand electrical prints Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members Physical Demands

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
