About the Role
We are seeking a
Material Expediter
to join our production team and ensure timely routing and dispatching of materials and parts in alignment with production schedules. This role is critical to maintaining workflow efficiency and supporting on-time delivery for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Expedite, route, and dispatch materials and parts according to production schedules and commitments.
Review master production schedules to identify potential shortages and alert appropriate stakeholders.
Generate progress reports on schedule status and maintain records of completed orders.
Take proactive measures to expedite materials, including coordinating repairs for damaged items or arranging in-house transportation.
Report on completion dates, material substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (Requires US Citizenship)
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to interpret production schedules and identify potential bottlenecks.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and generating status reports.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple departments.
Problem-solving mindset to address material delays and shortages.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
Experience in
manufacturing or production environments .
Familiarity with
inventory management systems
and ERP tools.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and material handling best practices.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
