What to Expect
This role will be responsible for generating & implementing designs per Tesla standards across all Gigafactory Nevada campus facilities. Success in this role requires a balance of design creativity, technical precision, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience taking projects from concept to completion, have rigorous work ethic and design methodology, quick to adapt, and must be a communicative team member.
What You'll Do
Contribute to project phases, including concept design, design development and construction documentation
Collaborate with internal design leaders, engineers and contractors to ensure design intent and execution align with Tesla's standards
Prepare design presentations, graphic packages, and 3D visualizations to effectively communicate design direction
Develop Revit-based documentation and assist with coordination between architectural, interior, and engineering disciplines
Support materials research, finishes selection, and FF&E documentation
The ability to provide hand sketching or renderings to communicate early ideas and spatial strategies is a plus
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, or equivalent work experience
1-2 years of professional experience or internships in commercial interiors or architecture
Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Twinmotion (V‑Ray experience is a plus)
Strong graphic and visualization skills; proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
Understanding of building codes, ADA, and accessibility standards is preferred
Demonstrated ability to take direction, manage time effectively, and adapt to evolving project need
