The RN Expeditor oversees efficient patient throughput, identifies barriers to timely patient care, and proactively recognizes negative trends for review. This RN plays a critical role in continuously improving patient care within our system, ensuring patients receive prompt treatment to support their recovery. The role requires maintaining situational awareness through effective communication and available technology. Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of healthcare systems, resources, and patient needs to guide patients through their medical journey, ensuring access to necessary services and support. The RN expedites, prioritizes, synchronizes, and mediates clinical issues in real time, removes barriers to discharge, addresses delays in care, and identifies potential issues early to prevent bottlenecks. The RN confers with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective strategies to reduce patient length of stay, manage complex discharges, and ensure safe patient discharges. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required. Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a related expediter role (Emergency, PCU/ICU, Procedural Areas such as PACU, Short Stay, Endoscopy). Licensure/Certification:

RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
