Medical Assistant II – UI Health Care Coralville Oakdale Clinic 90%
The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient-centered 90% (36 hours a week) Medical Assistant II (MA II) to work at our UICC Coralville Oakdale Clinic. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

We provide care for pregnancy, baby wellness, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute visits, annual check-ups, mental health, on-site laboratory services, and more. Summary:
Under direct supervision of physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities
Support Family Medicine Clinic patients.
Perform technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
Use electronic word/data processing equipment and conventional office equipment.
Qualifications
Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant program.
Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience; previous immunization and phlebotomy experience preferred.
Previous EPIC experience is desirable.
