Role Description Meteor Crater Enterprises is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our amazing team. This part-time (20 hours/week), primarily remote position offers the opportunity to play a key role in digital marketing, content creation, and brand communications for one of Arizona’s most iconic destinations. Occasional on-site work in the Flagstaff/Winslow, AZ area may be required for events, media projects, or promotional activities. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing to implement and support a variety of marketing initiatives — from social media strategy and analytics reporting to creative storytelling, digital content production, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities Manage and grow Meteor Crater’s social media presence across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging brand communication.
Support digital marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, to increase visibility and visitor engagement.
Create, edit, and publish multimedia content (photos, videos, short‑form media, and written posts) to promote events, programs, and visitor experiences.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and audience insights.
Assist in reporting marketing analytics and tracking performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite.
Collaborate with media partners, tourism groups, and influencers to expand brand reach and partnerships.
Support the organization’s advertising and community outreach efforts, including events, educational programs, and promotional campaigns.
Maintain professional communication with guests, partners, and vendors to strengthen brand relationships.
Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media preferred.
Strong skills in content creation, writing, and storytelling across multiple platforms.
Proficiency with social media management tools, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and basic photo/video editing software.
Knowledge of marketing analytics, SEO, and digital reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Flexibility to travel or work on-site occasionally for special events or media projects.
