Adjunct Instructor Music (Pool) – Dyersburg State Community College

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Music adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off‑campus centers. The successful applicant will be certified and use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. The applicant will also attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to established deadlines, and will communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes as appropriate to their assigned chair/dean. This position reports to the Chair of Fine Arts & Mathematics and the Dean of Arts, Sciences & Technologies.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in Music in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris
- Prepare course materials
- Evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time
Working Conditions
Desk work; occasional travel may be required. Standard office settings. Minimal effort beyond normal movement.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Music
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel
