POSITION SUMMARY
Drives market research, coordinates industry feedback, and develops a standardized format and feature set for RapidCue 2.0 and future Cue Sheet platforms. Evaluates and recommends the optimal model for industry collaboration and serves as the leader of the chosen model. Engages with studios, publishers, composers, platforms and CMOs/Societies to ensure the new platform meets broad industry needs and aligns incentives across stakeholders.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
Conducts market research and gathers requirements from a diverse group of industry leaders. Evaluates incentives and recommends an “industry advisory” model versus an open-source model for Cue Sheet development. Coordinates and leads the advisory group or open-source community, serving as president/leader. Facilitates feedback sessions and ensures all relevant parties are represented in decision-making. Defines mandatory, optional, and unspecified data fields for Cue Sheets. Identifies and prioritizes platform features and workflows for various user types (e.g., large studio, small studio, broadcaster). Collaborates with stakeholders to design user interface characteristics that meet industry needs. Aligns incentives and fosters collaboration among studios, publishers, composers, platforms, and CMOs/Societies. Prepares reports, presentations, and recommendations for executive review. Participates in meetings as required. Regular attendance. Other duties as assigned. Supports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusion.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Music Industry, Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Experience:
Minimum of eight (8) years in music industry, technology or related roles within a advisory role.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and industry groups. Experience in market research and standards setting initiatives. Strong leadership and facilitation skills. Ability to synthesize complex feedback and drive consensus. Familiarity with cue sheet workflows and music industry standards. Ability to think strategically and problem-solve. Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and managing competing interests. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Ability to react to dynamic changing environments. Ability to travel as needed.
SALARY RANGE The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education.
The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors.
