As the new

Community, Social, & Brand Love Manager

you will build and nurture KURU's community while fueling the stories, partnerships, and social moments that get people talking for all the right reasons. You see every conversation as an opportunity to deepen connection and every engagement as a moment to create meaningful impact. With your natural ability to engage others, you'll balance collaboration and precision to ensure our voice is not only heard, but remembered.

Join us at

KURU Footwear , where you will bring structure to creativity, turning everyday interactions into lasting relationships that grow our community.

The Community, Social & Brand Love Manager is accountable for one number: the Share of Voice vs. Share of Market Delta. Your job is to ensure KURU is talked about more than we're bought today – fueling the awareness and earned attention that compounds into future demand.

You’ll own the earned media strategy across SEO, outreach, organic social, and influencers. You’ll be responsible for growing mentions, links, and conversations while making sure every post, partnership, and piece of content feels unmistakably KURU.

This is a role for someone who knows how to engineer attention with purpose: blending community‑building, storytelling, and technical SEO into a system that scales.

About the Company At KURU, we don’t just make shoes – we help people get their lives back. Every pair comes loaded with our patented tech that hugs your heels and tackles foot pain at the source. The result? Relief that feels like a revelation (and actually works).

When we say, “It’s more than a shoe, it’s a KURU!” we mean it. These aren’t just shoes that cushion your step – they help you chase what matters. From 8‑hour shifts to long‑distance runs to “just one more errand,” KURU helps people go farther, feel better, and stay on their feet with a lot less fuss.

Every style we design is built for real life: high performance, everyday comfort, and bounce‑back power when your feet need it most. This is where comfort meets hustle, science meets storytelling, and customers say: “Because of KURU, I can _______ again.”

We’re building the orthos that should’ve existed all along. To get there, we need a Community, Social & Brand Love leader who can make KURU impossible to ignore – and unforgettable once discovered.

What You’ll Focus On Earned Media Strategy

Define and execute KURU’s earned media strategy to grow visibility, credibility, and conversation share.

Build a flywheel of content, outreach, and partnerships that expand brand presence and authority.

Community & Social Leadership

Build and execute KURU’s community strategy across social platforms, reviews, and organic word of mouth.

Manage and grow organic social presence – crafting content that sparks conversation, shares, and loyalty.

Actively engage with reviews, comments, and communities to create authentic two‑way dialogue.

Partner with CX and Brand to turn customer moments into stories that fuel advocacy and trust.

Build a flywheel of user‑generated content, community partnerships, and cultural participation that expands brand love.

SEO & Visibility (Supporting Focus)

Manage SEO as a channel for organic visibility and authority growth.

Ensure site health, keyword growth, and backlink strategies support discoverability.

Partner with Content and Ecommerce to optimize performance without losing focus on community.

Build and manage outreach programs that generate press, links, and mentions.

Own influencer relationships and partnerships – securing earned content and collaborations that move culture.

Track performance of influencer and outreach campaigns with clear ROI measures.

Organic Social Management & Growth

Manage and grow KURU’s organic social presence across platforms.

Create community‑first strategies that spark engagement, conversation, and sharing.

Collaborate with Creative Strategist to ensure social assets align with brand voice and category ambition.

Process Creation & Documentation

Build repeatable systems and documentation for SEO, outreach, and social workflows.

Establish reporting cadences for Share of Voice, Share of Market, and influencer/SEO performance.

Manage projects end‑to‑end, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and owners are clear.

Your #1 Goal

Share of Voice (SOV): % of total brand mentions across the category.

Share of Market (SOM): % of sales in the category.

If SOV > SOM, KURU is winning the awareness battle and building future demand.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…

Have 5–7 years of experience in social, community, PR/earned media, or SEO (DTC or consumer brands preferred).

Can move seamlessly between technical SEO, influencer outreach, and organic storytelling.

Have grown organic social accounts with both engagement and follower quality.

Know how to measure and grow Share of Voice, not just vanity metrics.

Think like a builder – creating systems and playbooks, not just campaigns.

Are a connector by nature: you know how to pitch, partner, and create relationships that generate momentum.

Can balance brand voice with platform norms – creating content that feels native, not forced.

Believe community isn’t managed – it’s nurtured.

Why KURU?

We’re on a mission to sell 1 million pairs of shoes in 2028.

We’re rewriting the rules of foot health – building the anti‑orthopedic, orthopedic brand.

You’ll be the one ensuring the world hears about it, talks about it, and shares it.

Work alongside a team that values imagination, curiosity, scrappiness, and making it count.
