Production Underwriter
who blends underwriting expertise with a sales-forward mindset to help expand our commercial book across the Southeast. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of
risk analysis and relationship building , and who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to
market, quote, and close new business .
What You'll Do
Proactively
drive new business production
by quoting and binding commercial P&C accounts that meet underwriting criteria and support strategic growth goals. Cultivate, maintain, and
expand agency relationships
to strengthen our footprint in key markets. Act as a
consultative partner -identifying opportunities, uncovering coverage needs, and positioning the right solutions with the right carriers. Collaborate with internal teams to
add lines of coverage , upsell existing business, and coordinate marketing strategies. Conduct periodic in-person and virtual agency visits to
enhance engagement and deepen partnerships . Keep your finger on the pulse of market trends, carrier appetites, and competitive positioning.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of experience in
Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting
with a strong focus on
new business acquisition . Proven ability to
generate, manage, and grow a profitable book of business . Must have
MGA
Experience Sales-oriented mindset with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and comfort navigating carrier systems and rating platforms. Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred-but a strong track record speaks louder than a diploma. Self-starter who enjoys working remotely and
thrives in an autonomous, results-driven environment .
