Description

The Writer, Technical and/or Public Relations, is responsible for researching, developing, and producing clear, compelling content that communicates the Company's mission, initiatives, and impact to diverse audiences. This role transforms complex operational, technical, and policy topics into engaging materials that are accessible to the public, internal staff, and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include researching and preparing content for blogs, articles, press releases, internal communications, and print materials related to public transit operations and initiatives. The writer collaborates with subject matter experts to gather accurate information and ensures that all content reflects the Organization's brand voice, tone, and communication standards.

The role requires the ability to translate detailed technical or policy information into clear, persuasive messages appropriate for various platforms and audiences. The writer also contributes to content strategy, supports media and public affairs initiatives, and helps maintain transparency and consistency across the Organization's communications.

Success in this position requires excellent research, writing, and editing skills; a strong grasp of public communication best practices; and the ability to convey complex information accurately, clearly, and with impact.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications or Public Affairs.

Four (4) years professional writing experience in a technical and/or customer-focused environment
