Job Description:
- Support UX and the UI art for our game, working with a small team that complements your skillset. You'll work on an adventure game currently in development for our Games on TV using a phone controller.
- Pitch, wireframe, and mockup our UX needs as well as contribute to the UI art for systems in the game. You may not deliver all of the UI art but the ability to flex into a UI art capacity makes you an ideal candidate.
- Utilize emerging best practices and learnings for the *** platform and phone controller to shape the UX and UI of our game.
- Balance creativity with production realities, ensuring designs are achievable, fun, and performant.
- Collaborate with other designers and craft experts to develop engaging gameplay and systems.
- Advocate for best practices in UI/UX for narrative games, acting as the subject matter expert on all things UX for our game.
- Collaborate across studio disciplines to explore, test, and evolve the game.
Profile:
- 5 years working in user experience and user interface design for games
- Self-starter willing to find solutions and ask questions when needed
- Flexible mindset, embracing rapid pivots and changes based on emergent learnings
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with IP and narrative game systems
- Preference for candidates who have worked on a cloud platform like Stadia, Luna or other non standard controller systems like AR, VR, theme parks or experimental interactive installation work.
- Preference for candidates who have working familiarity with Unity, Miro, Figma, Jira, Confluence, and experience in motion design and/or animation.
