Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Music Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate music lessons to children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years. The teacher will visit once a week for 2-3 hours to introduce children to music through singing, movement, instruments, and creative activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead weekly music sessions that are age-appropriate and engaging for young children.
- Introduce children to basic music concepts, including rhythm, melody, and tempo, in a playful and interactive way.
- Incorporate a variety of instruments and musical styles to expose children to diverse sounds and rhythms.
- Encourage participation and creativity, fostering a love for music in each child.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to align music sessions with other curriculum goals when possible.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching music to young children (ages 0-5) in a school or childcare setting.
- A background in early childhood music education or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in playing musical instruments (e.g., guitar, piano, percussion) is a plus.
- Ability to engage and captivate young children through interactive and hands-on activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and energetic personality.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
Schedule
- Once per week for 2-3 hours (day and time can be flexible).
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.
