Job Summary

Senior Web Developer at the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, a joint program of Georgia Tech and Emory University. The role leads and manages web development projects, builds new web pages, and oversees web applications. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct web-based application development and implementation consistent with unit needs.
• Maintain assigned applications, providing issue resolution in a timely manner.
• Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications.
• Provide direction and leadership for web-related project assignments.
• Prepare project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare formal and informal status reports and presentations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of job related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of CMS systems including Drupal and WordPress.
• Strong knowledge and experience with hosting platforms including Pantheon, Plesk, etc.
• Experience with webpage design.
• Understanding of UX/UI.
• Knowledge and experience with SEO and GA4/Google Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of Javascript, PHP, and SQL.
• Solid experience in coding with strong knowledge in semantic HTML, CSS, Accessibility, and web frameworks.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
